Introduction

 

The book will analyze historical and cultural relations of India and West, South and South Asian countries, their bilateral and diplomatic relations, emerging new war tactics and patterns, new communication technologies and media diplomacy. The book will also analyze cultural diversity of India, communal riots, conflicts, and new communication technology as a threat for internal security and communal conflict.

 

 

Objective

 

 

1. To study historical background of India’s cultural similarities and relations with west, South Asian and South East Asian countries.

 

2. To understand importance and relevance of cultural similarities in maintaining good bilateral relations in changing geopolitical atmosphere, war and conflict tactics and circumstances in the light of emerging communication technology.

 

3. To understand cultural diversity and its relation to internal conflicts and communnal riots in the context of new technological developments and its negative uses.

 

4. To understand role of new media and emerging communication technology in media diplomacy.

 

5. To understand the role and Importance of new media theories for media diplomacy in the age of emerging communication technology and new media.

 

 

Target Audience

 

Practitioners and scholars of international affairs; practitioners and scholars of bilateral relations, mainly those from fields of defense studies and analysis; professionals and scholars of culture, politics and sociology, Professionals and practitioners of journalism and current affairs The book will be written and composed observing the perspectives for methodological approaches in interdisciplinary studies. This proposition also ensures a perspective for the results, the final text of the book, to be applied in both theoretical and practical application and researches.

Submission Procedure

 

Interested authors are invited to submit on or before May 30th, 2015, a 2-3 page chapter proposal clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter, identifying its authors, motivation, objectives, expected results, and an overview of its structure and development. Proposals should be submitted through the link at the bottom of this page.

Authors of accepted proposals will be notified by June 30th, 2015 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by July 30th, 2014. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis.
