How do you publish an open-access article?

How to Do Research and Get Published Free Webinar Series

Want anyone, whether or not they are associated with an institution that allows them access to an academic library? Open-access means just that: a subscription-based paywall does not prevent readers from accessing articles. Some journals are entirely open-access, while others are hybrid, with some open articles and others that require a subscription or library access to read. See the list below for some of Sage’s open-access journals on research methods.

This webinar from Sage’s How to Do Research and Get Published series can help you understand the steps involved with open-access publishing. Learn about Article Processing Charges (APCs) and transformative agreements. Understand the difference between types of licenses, and find out how to tell if a journal is legitimate or predatory. Hosted by SAGE’s Jessica Offenberger and Jonathan Collin, the webinar provided essential guidance for anyone hoping to get an open-access article published in an academic journal.
