Introducing the SAGE Ocean Fellowship: Apply now
Our product development team at SAGE Ocean is excited to present a new opportunity: we are seeking a SAGE Ocean Fellow, who will work with us to refine and test a new product for academics that apply automated text analysis techniques in their research.
If you have an absolute love for text mining, a strong understanding of political texts, plus a bit of experience or knowledge about academic research and want to learn more about product testing and development, then this fellowship is for you! If you are a Ph.D. (or even Master) student, don’t you worry, you should definitely apply. The SAGE Ocean Fellow is a 6-week part-time role within our team. You can work remotely, but you won’t escape having fun with our team over video-conferences. This role is pretty much perfect if you are in lockdown (unfortunately) and have some spare time.
You should be familiar and comfortable using text mining and large scale or computational analysis techniques for text because we need your help and insights testing a product that focuses on aggregating and cleaning large-scale political corpora. As an Ocean Fellow and of course, if the situation allows, you will attend a few conferences (most likely online, such as Comptext) and/or reach out to other quantitative and computational text analysis scholars in political science.
Application process:
To apply, leave us your contact details and answer a few questions before April 20th. No need to send us your CV, we know there is never enough time to update them!
We may contact you for a short chat before we make our decision and get you started for April 27th.
