Gender and Research: Resources for International Women's Day
Back in the ancient days when I attended Cornell University as an undergraduate, I took a minor in what was called Women's Studies. It was a a wonderful interdisciplinary program, where I pursued the interests I had at the time about women and work. The program has evolved with the field, and is now Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies.
We've made some progress in thinking about gender since my undergrad days-- although the issues about women and work, and related issues of child care have budged little! Clearly, more research is needed in the broader sphere of gender studies. At the same time, all researchers need to be more inclusive and aware.
Perhaps some of these resources will help?
