Meet online at the NVivo conference

Let’s chat!

Once in awhile we have the opportunity to interact in real time, and this week the NVivo conference offers us a chance to connect. The theme of the conference is “Transcending Boundaries in Qualitative Research” so let’s do just that. If you plan to attend, drop by during the break in the Chat Lounge:

Boston 9 AM (EDT), London 2 PM (BST), Melbourne 11 PM (AEST)

or

Boston 2 PM (EDT), London 7 PM (BST), Melbourne 4 AM (AEST)

Look for Janet Salmons, Methods Guru, to chat about your research, ideas for a contribution, or suggestions for Methodspace. You can also join in one of the sessions with Dr. Salmons : Journal to Transcend Boundaries with Dr. Nicole Brown or Collaborating Across Boundaries with Dr. Natalia Reinoso Chavez.

Journal to Transcend Boundaries with Nicole Brown

Boston 11 AM (EDT) London 4 PM (BST) Melbourne 1 AM (AEST)

Methodspace readers might remember Dr. Brown from the post, Embodied Inquiry as a Research Method or the interview that you can view below. We discovered a common interest in out-of-the-ordinary research journals. In this session, we discuss why and how creative and art journals can benefit researchers. We also share examples from our own journals.

“Collaborating Across Boundaries” with Natalia Reinoso Chavez

Boston 2:30 PM (EDT) London 7:30 PM (BST) Melbourne 4:30 AM (AEST)

Methodspace readers might remember Dr. Chavez from the extraordinary Methodspace webinar with Dr. Cheryl Poth, Research Ethics in Practice, and follow-up Q & A post. After this event I visited her classes at the Universidad de la Sabana in Bogotá, Colombia. We discovered that our collaboration was mutually beneficial in personal and professional ways. In this session, we discuss why it is so important to reach across boundaries to learn from and with each other, and offer some practical tips.

Want to attend? Register through September 21, 2021.
