Transcending Boundaries in Qualitative Research
September 22-23, 2021 - 24 hours globally
The past year has challenged all of us in many ways. We have had to adapt to extended periods of minimal social contact, of working from home, of having to change plans, of home-schooling children, and of learning new digital tools to support teaching and research. We have had to be resilient and creative. This conference is about tapping into that creativity and looking at ways we can transcend boundaries in qualitative research.
Connect With A Global Research Community
Join leading researchers from around the globe at the NVivo Virtual Conference 2021, to meet, learn and network with peers and experts .as we transcend boundaries in qualitative research in it's widest sense, across disciplines, methods and cultures. Customize your learning and networking experience by selecting from over 70 hours of programming available live on the day of the event and on-demand for 90 days following the event.
Methodspace at the NVivo Virtual Conference
Many academic conferences have moved online. On one hand, we miss seeing colleagues, chatting informally over a nice meal, or perusing the vendor area for new books (and free pens.) On the other hand, online conferences give us a chance to come together, whether or not we have travel funds. The upcoming Nvivo conference, Transcending Boundaries in Qualitative Research, is just that kind of opportunity!
Our very own Methods Guru, Janet Salmons will be co-presenting with two SAGE Methodspace contributors:
Collaborating Across Boundaries
Do you remember the fantastic Methodspace webinar last year with Cheryl Poth and Natalia Reinoso Chavez? Natalia and I will discuss the informal collaboration that grew out of our work to plan webinar. We will advocate for building mutually-beneficial relationships across disciplinary and national boundaries.
Journal Across Boundaries
Did you see the interview I conducted with Nicole Brown, about her intriguing creative research methods? Soon after, I learned that she also wrote a book about research journals– an interest we share. Nicole and I will share our approaches for journaling about the research process, and journaling for self-care during the challenging experiences of research.
Of course these are just two presentations of many from global researchers who will talk about ideas, methods, and lessons learned. I hope you will join us, September 22-23, 2021.
